Plan for 2016-2017 assessment

Finalize course-specific SLOs and course mapping, continue monitor writing proficiency, broaden the assessment of SLO4 to include graphic design students (CDES 331), and assess design-related SLOs across all options: 5. “Demonstrate familiarity and fluency in both historical and contemporary design practices,” and 6. “Apply visual and technical skills required to excel as artists and professionals in their fields.”

Plan for 2017-2018 assessment

Continue assessing SLO6 “Apply visual and technical skills required to excel as artists and professionals”. Assess SLO 3 “Evaluate and apply the principle theories of mediated communications.” Discuss ideas about a definition of critical thinking in the field and best way to measure SLO 1 “Use critical thinking skills to find unique and creative solutions to professional challenges and obstacles” for 2018-2019.
