Student  Organizations

The  College of Communication and Education hosts a variety of student professional clubs and organizations where you can get involved and jump-start your career.

In communication there are several award-winning teams. The Orion provides many opportunities for working on a newspaper competing for "best in the nation" annually. The Forensics and Speech and Debate Teams, the Tehama Group (student-run public relations firm), Milk Crate Productions (student run video production company), and Designers in Progress have also received considerable recognition.

Students interested in educational and therapeutic careers also have many active clubs and organizations with regional recognition. Some examples are Students for Outdoor Leadership, Talking Hands (signing), Student California Teachers Association, Pre-Physical Therapy/Occupational Therapy Club, Physical Education Teacher Education Club, and Recreation, Hospitality, and Park Students.
