Using Your Professional Development Funds

Paid Summer Professional Development

  • STAR is a nine-week paid summer research experience program for aspiring K-12 STEM teachers from any California State University (CSU) Campus or Noyce Scholars from any US university.
  • RET (Research Experience Programs for Teachers), is one of many acronyms for teacher professional development experiences involving hands-on research in a university, government lab or company.
  • The IISME Summer Fellowship Program places eligible K-16 teachers of all subjects into high-performance work sites for the summer.

CSU Chico Noyce Mentors

These are Noyce Scholars from our program that have gone on to become some of the best mathematics and science teachers in Caiifornia.  The scholars listed here have agreed to serve as mentors to our scholars that are either still in school or earlier in their teaching careers.  Feel free to contact them with questions, issues, or ideas you woudl like to share with a colleague.
