WHEN: Two-Week Program - August 5-15, 2013 -- Monday - Thursday ONLY 8:30a-12:30p (lunch included)
WHERE: CSU, Chico Campus
COST: $25 (May be waived with demonstrated financial need)
RAD Academy Details:
Predict the result of simulated bungee jumps and measure movement with motion detectors; maybe even determine the time of a predicted end of the world! You will work in small groups on a series of projects and problems, sharing your thinking and approaches. In the end, we hope you will see algebra as a powerful tool, one that can open up doors and provide opportunities.
RAD Academy will be led by Jorgen Berglund (CSU, Chico) and Dan Sours (Chico High), along with CSU, Chico university student teaching assistants.
