Gateway Science Museum

Natural History Field Trips
(Designed for Grades 4th - 6th)

Take your class on a fieldtrip to the NEW Gateway Science Museum Discovery Room where students can explore the physical and biological diversity of California's local and regional landscapes. Students will discover the mysterious world of micro-invertebrates; examine characteristics of native trees and their roles within the ecosystem and construct their own Berlese Funnel to investigate the leaf-litter organisms living in their own backyard.

California Science Standards:

• Grade 4: 2 b,c
• Grade 5: 6 a
• Grade 6: 5 c,e

Fieldtrips offered on Fridays only.

• 9:15 - 10:45 and 11:15 - 12:45
