Students can tour the lab to view artifacts such as stone tools, animal bones, and other physical objects. They will also learn about the various diagnostic tools and processes for identifying artifacts. A PowerPoint presentation of excavation sites is available as well.

The museum gallery is located on the mezzanine floor of the historic Laxson Auditorium, 1st and Salem Streets. Additional prints are also on display in the Ayres Hall first floor cases, which are located directly behind the auditorium.
The museum was established in 1981 with an initial generous gift of more than 2,000 prints from the late CSU, Chico faculty member Dr. Janet Turner. Turner, an internationally known printmaker and educator, felt students should have the opportunity to learn from and be inspired by original art.

Roth Planetarium

Presentations in the Roth Planetarium are given by Roth Planetarium interns and intended for elementary (third grade and above), junior high school, and high school students who are engaged in a unit of astronomy study.
The presentations will last between 30 and 50 minutes depending on the age of the group.
The Roth Planetarium will accommodate between 24 and 30 students (30 if some students sit on the floor).
Before making a reservation request please check to see what times are available for programs. To make reservations for your class, please use the online reservation form. A Roth Planetarium intern will contact you to make arrangements for your visit. Your intern can assist you in obtaining campus parking permits.

Located in Taylor Hall, the University Art Gallery is a student-centered exhibition space that focuses on original works in the visual and media arts. Students, faculty, and staff as well as visitors utilize the gallery's resources. The gallery program seeks to demystify the arts by furnishing its visitors with a meaningful artistic experience. The gallery is free and open to the public.
It is highly recommended that teachers preview current exhibitis to determine the appropriateness for children.

School groups can tour the farm and view the greenhouses, meat lab, mechanics lab, as well as herds of sheep, beef cattle, swine, and dairy cows. The farm also hosts special events throughout the year.
