Scholarships and Financial Aid
We strongly encourage all current and prospective students to apply for a scholarship or financial aid to attend California State University, Chico.

Math Science Scholarships
Currently, the Teacher Recruitment Program (TRP) in conjunction with the Mathematics and Science Teacher Initiative (MSTI) at California State University, Chico is focused on recruiting students to become math and science teachers. Robert Noyce Scholarships
Noyce Scholarships are designed to encourage talented math, science and engineering majors and professionals to enter into the teaching profession. Each Noyce Scholar can receive up to two years of scholarships with stipends of $10,000 per year. Noyce Scholars will be selected by consideration of academic achievement, under-representation and financial need. Scholarships will be awarded on a competitive basis. APLE Loan Program
The Assumption Program of Loans for Education (APLE) program in particular forgives as much as $19,500 in student loans to students who become California math and science teachers. Find out more about the APLE program and to see a complete listing of teacher shortage academic areas.
