Peggy Armocido

Administrative Support Coordinator

BA (1992) - Sociology, California State University, Chico

"I came to CSU, Chico as a student, fell in love with the campus, the people, and working in an educational environment. I have no intention of leaving anytime soon."

Peggy Armocido has held her current position in the CMAS Department since August 1989. She is responsible for the administrative paperwork in the department. She also works closely with the CMST Graduate Program/Teaching Associates and the Speech and Debate Team. Peggy is often known as the person with the answers to any questions regarding the department.

Peggy enjoys working with the students, faculty, and staff at CSU, Chico. A 1992 graduate of CSU, Chico with a bachelor of arts in sociology, and a minor in business administration, Peggy can relate to the student environment. Peggy worked as a student assistant in the College of Communication which introduced her to communication and working on campus, (1/85–7/87). She enjoyed the job so much, that she ended up being the clerical assistant in the Information and Communication Studies Department (8/87–7/89). In August 1989 she obtained her current position.

The first clue that you are in Peggy's office is the seal photos and conversation revolving around the San Francisco 49ers (Peggy's favorite NFL team). The department office is festive and is always decorated for the approaching holiday. The office is occasionally referred to as the happiest place on campus. Don't take my word for it, come and see for yourself.

In 2007 Peggy joined the Chico State Team Wildcat Relay For Life team. She is very involved in the fund raising efforts of the team and is passionate in her efforts towards the fight against cancer through the American Cancer Society.
