Student Employment Opportunities
Spring student employment positions have been filled. Information for summer and fall 2013 employment opportunities will be available by March 1st.
The CNAP Employment program offers two employment options. See below for a description of each option and complete application instructions.
Paid Student Employment:
After completing a CNAP internship, students are welcome to apply for a paid student position. For more information about student employment, please click here.
Nutrition and Food Sciences Employment:The Nutrition and Food Sciences department offers paid positions as well. For more information on employment, please click here.
Eligibility Requirements to Apply:
Paid Student Employment:
- Applicants much be currently enrolled in a minimum of 6 units of undergraduate courses or 4 units of graduate courses at CSU, Chico and be in good academic standing. Students on academic probation are not eligible to apply.
- Applicants must have successfully completed the CNAP orientation training and required internship hours. CNAP requires students to do a minimum of: 1) 135 internship hours (3 units) in one semester or 2) 90 internship hours each semester for two semesters (totaling 4 units). In rare cases, we may be able to pay an applicant prior to the completion of required internship hours on a special need/ special skill basis.
- Applicants must provide a minimum availability of 10 hours per week (Mon - Fri, 8am - 5pm).

For the Student Employment Interest Form: This form is a Microsoft Word fill-in form. Please complete the form electronically. You can then print and deliver it to the CNAP office inbox (25 Main St, Ste 101, see map here) or you can submit it by e-mail to the CNAP Internship Coordinator (contact information below). Incomplete applications will be returned to the applicant. Applicants will not be considered until a complete application is submitted. If your completed application is submitted after the deadline, your application may not be considered until the next semester.
You will receive a confirmation e-mail within 3 business days of application submission. If you do not receive a confirmation, contact the CNAP Internship Coordinator (contact information below) immediately.
Depending on the number of qualified applicants and the number of positions available, you may be placed on a waiting list. If positions become available, we will contact applicants on the waiting list first.
