Programs of Distinction

Business Student Success Center

The Business Student Success Center (BSSC) located in Glenn 202 provides undergraduate Business students with a comfortable, professional space to study and collaborate. Schedules for tutors and mentors are posted on the bulletin board directly across from the BSSC.

The BSSC is a great place for students to study or work on team projects. Flexible furniture, computers, enclosed rooms, and whiteboards allow students to work alone or with others.

Center for Entrepreneurship

At the heart of the Center’s mission is a commitment to help young entrepreneurs make the great leap from idea to reality. Whether a social venture, a web-based business, or a start-up based on an idea from another field, the Entrepreneurship and Small Business Management option can teach you to manage risk and launch new enterprises.

Entrepreneurship grads also pursue careers in commercializing new products and services in established businesses and managing processes for developing innovations.

Center for Enterprise Systems and Informatics Research

The future of business will be driven by data and analysis, and global competitive pressures driving effective and efficient business processes and systems.

Using best practices, state of the art software, and leading-edge technologies, CESIR supports research designed to develop new ways to drive cost, time, and risk out of global business processes. Our students will shape the business of tomorrow.

Professional Accounting Certificate

Accounting is key to the success of any business. Students who pursue an accounting option are trained to succeed in the accounting profession. We find that the "fast track" to any career in accounting - whether that be public, private, or govermental accounting - usually begins with job placement at a CPA firm upon graduation and earning the CPA license.

A student who wants to work as a CPA (Certified Public Accountant) will pursue both the BADM-ACCT degree plus the Professional Accounting Certificate. The Professional Accounting Certificate is to be taken concurrently with the BADM-ACCT degree (the Professional Accounting Certificate is not a post-baccalaureate certificate).

Professional Consulting Program

Students seeking an exciting career in professional consulting will gain invaluable support in attaining their career goals by complementing their major with the College of Business' newest offering, the Professional Consulting Certificate

Geared towards training students wishing to join reputable consulting agencies, the certificate program is open to all students from across the university from any discipline seeking knowledge and practical experience in professional consulting.
