The Department of Management develops and delivers curriculum that leads to undergraduate degrees in Business Administration with an option in:
- Management
- Human Resource Management
Students choosing the Management option may focus their studies on Entrepreneurship and Small Business Management, Operations Management, or Organizational Management.
In addition to being exemplary classroom instructors and experts in their field, the faculty within the Department of Management is recognized for making significant contributions to the field through research. Their work is published in many leading journals.
Degree Options And Course Patterns
Management courses are designed to develop competencies in the administration of human and physical resources, foster decision-making and entrepreneurial thinking, and provide students with exposure to diverse business environments and management strategies. Management graduates can apply their skills to developing fundable entrepreneurial ventures or positions in personnel management, production management, retail management, operations management, international business, or government and private non-profit administration.
Students who seek a degree in Human Resource Management will prepare for a great variety of careers in personnel management and/or organizational behavior, including occupational analysis, affirmative action coordination, recruitment, workforce training, compensation and benefits management, and labor relations.
