Teaching/Research
Joining the Chico State faculty in 1986, Dr. Boykin has taught a variety of courses in the operations management, supply chain management, and enterprise systems fields. Additionally, he remains active in consulting in the areas of supply chain management and enterprise systems. Dr. Boykin has received numerous teaching and faculty awards at CSU, Chico: five Outstanding Faculty awards and eight Outstanding Teacher awards, including the Chico Chamber of Commerce Teacher of the Year. He has published numerous papers in journals, including the Journal of Enterprise Information Management, California Journal of Operations Management, Computers in Industry, Journal of Computer Information Systems, Knowledge and Process Management: The Journal of Corporate Transformation, Auditing: A Journal of Practice and Theory, Computers and Industrial Engineering, Risk Analysis, Interfaces, Management Science, Omega, and InTech. Dr. Boykin has been a speaker at over 20 workshops, co-authored a book titled Enterprise Integration (Prentice Hall), and has received over 40 research/development grants.
