Looking for an additional fun challenge?

Take part in one of our professional sales competitions! Competitions will push your personal and professional development to new levels. Not only will these competitions help refine your professional sales skills and knowledge, they will also help you get noticed by recruiters. Students in the Seufferlein Sales Program have the opportunity to participate in the Sweet 16 Sales Challenge, Spring 12 Competition and the Western States Collegiate Sales Competition.

Overview

The Sweet 16 Sales Challenge is a local sales competition that takes place during the fall semester. The competition is open to all students taking MKTG 473 (Strategic Personal Selling).  During the semester, students compete in a series of role plays that utilize cases provided by Corporate Partners. In early December, the top 16 students compete in a live role play event judged by corporate partners. The competition is preceded by the Sweet 16 Corporate Connect mixer and speed interviewing event.

Overview

Established in 2005, the Western States Collegiate Sales Competition (WSCSC) is an energetic and exciting venue for university students, faculty and corporate recruiters. Contestants are among the best sales students from universities across the U.S. and are offered the chance to showcase their skills to attending recruiters. The competition is preceded by the WSCSC Corporate Connect mixer and speed interviewing event.

Past participants have included Arizona State; Ball State; Baylor; CSU, Bakersfield; CSU, Chico, CSU, Fresno; CSU, Fullerton; CSU, Sacramento; CSU, San Diego; Georgia State; Northern Arizona; Oregon State; University of Central Oklahoma; University of Northern Iowa; University of San Diego; UT Dallas; UW Eau Claire; and Washington State University, Vancouver.

2018 Competition Information

Spring 12 logo

Overview

The Spring 12 Sales Competition is open to all students taking MKTG 473 (Strategic Personal Selling) during the spring semester. Students participate in two in-class professional role plays utilizing cases provided by the Sales Program’s Corporate Partners. The top eight students then compete along with four students from MKTG 489 (Special Topics-Competitions) in an online role play event judged by corporate partners. The top three competitors receive cash prizes and are recognized at the Spring Awards Banquet.

The Spring 12 will be held on May 2, 2018.
