Information on how to register for the 2018 WSCSC was emailed out by Brittany Fortune at the beginning of November. Once a university is confirmed, each student competitor must also register online. Please contact Sheryl Manies with the Seufferlein Sales Program at (530) 898-3840 or smanies@csuchico.edu with any questions.

WSCSC Event Schedule 

The WSCSC is a two-day event. For details about each component of the competition, please refer to the information provided below. If you are not a current partner of the Sales Program but are interested in participating as an observer, please contact Art Cox, Corporate Director, at alcox@csuchico.edu or (530) 898-5509.


  • Date & Time:  Thursday, April 19, 2018 from 6:30-8:30 PM
  • Location:  BMU Auditorium
  • Details:  The Corporate Connect is open to competitors and coaches, Sales Program corporate partners, and all Chico State students. The evening includes a speed interviewing event, competition instructions and information, and networking opportunities. Light appetizers will be served; dress is business casual.


  • Date & Time:  Friday, April 20, 2018 from 8:00 AM-4:00 PM (includes breakfast, two 15-minute breaks, and a one-hour lunch)
  • Location:  Student Services Center
  • Details:  the Friday competition is for registered universities and corporate partners only will consist of a single-scenario role play. A continental breakfast and lunch is included; dress for student competitors is business professional.


  • Date & Time:  Friday, April 20, 2018 from 7:00-8:30 PM
  • Location:  Colusa Hall
  • Details:  the evening Awards Banquet includes a buffet dinner and dessert and is open to competitors, coaches and Platinum Partners only. Dress is business professional.

Transportation, Accommodations & Parking



  1. ALL transportation to and from the WSCSC is the responsibility of competing universities.
  2. The closest major airport is the Sacramento International Airport (SMF). Chico is approximately 75 miles north of Sacramento.
  3. Most teams arrive on Thursday and leave on Saturday. Note:  the "Corporate Connect" event begins at 6:30 PM on Thursday.
  4. North Valley Shuttle provides transportation from the Sacramento Airport to Chico - reservations must be made in advance.
  5. The Oxford Suites provides complimentary shuttle service between the hotel and Chico State campus.


  1. Each competing university will receive three complimentary rooms at the Chico Oxford Suites (one single occupancy and two double occupancy).
  2. Complimentary rooms will be provided on Thursday, April 20 and Friday, April 21.
  3. Additional rooms and/or nights must be paid for by the individual or university.
  4. ALL reservations for the Oxford Suites must be made directly through the Seufferlein Sales Program.


A limited number of special rate rooms are available for our corporate partners at the Oxford Suites. Please contact Analise Uhlrig, Sales Manager, at analiseu@oxfordsuites.com or (530) 899-9090. Be sure to mention the Chico State Sales Competition when making your reservation. Hotel Diamond, Courtyard by Marriott Chico and Ramada Plaza Chico are among other alternatives for lodging.


  1. PassportParking:  Chico State has transitioned to a mobile parking app system called PassportParking. Please refer to these detailed instructions re: dowloading and using this new and highly efficient process. Also included are alternative ways to purchase parking. Please refer to this campus parking map that identifies the buildings and parking lots and notes the “zone numbers” that are needed to pay for parking with this app.
  2. Metered Parking:  there are 10-hour coin-operated parking meters along the streets, particularly in the residential area adjacent to the south of campus. Be sure to bring plenty of quarters.
