Important DatesMay 5th:The Outreach Office will begin distributing tickets to students. Each student will receive 5 tickets. When picking up your tickets, you must bring an ID and the confirmation page that you receive when you register for commencement.
May 16th: Graduates and their guests are invited to attend a reception at the University Farm Pavilion. The reception will being at 4:30pm, and light refreshments will be provided. More information to come.

When is the College of Agriculture Commencement Ceremony?
May 17th at 7:30 a.m. in Laxson Auditorium
Is this the official Commencement Ceremony for the College of Agriculture?
Yes, the ceremony at Laxson Auditorium is the official Commencement Ceremony for the College of Agriculture. COA students will not be participating in the Stadium Commencement Ceremonies. The ceremony will conclude at 9 a.m.
When will I receive information about commencement?
The Outreach Office will be in close contact with graduating seniors regarding information about commencement.The College of Agriculture will also have a table at GradFest, March 5-6 in the Wildcat Store.
How long is the ceremony?
The ceremony is 1-1/2 hours long and will conclude at 9 a.m.
Do I need tickets for my family and friends to attend this ceremony?
Yes, each student will initially receive 5 tickets. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org for more information about ticket distribution.
Can guests request their own tickets?
No, only students who have registered for commencement can pick up tickets.
Do children need a ticket to attend this ceremony?
Children, ages two and under, do not need a ticket if they are sitting on the lap of an adult.
If one of my guests is in a wheelchair will a ticket be required?
Yes, tickets are required of guests utilizing a wheelchair. There is an accessible seating area for elderly/disabled guests, including wheelchair seating, and tickets are required for this area as well as for general seating. Please let the Outreach Office know as soon as possible if accessible seating is required for your guests. Please note tickets for this area are included in the five-ticket allotment each student receives.
When will tickets be available and how do I get my tickets?
Tickets will be available on March 10th in the Outreach Office. Please see the above information regarding ticket distribution.
May I also attend the University Stadium ceremonies as a guest?
You may attend the University Stadium ceremonies if you have a ticket, which you can only get from another graduate.
How do I get my cap and gown?
You rent the cap, gown, tassel, and stole (you get to keep the cap, tassel, and stole) at the Wildcat Store, beginning on May 9.
Wildcat Store hours the weekend of commencement are:
Friday, May 17: 9 a.m. – 7 p.m.
Saturday & Sunday, May 17 - 18: 7:30 a.m. – 5 p.m.
It is not necessary to reserve the cap and gown ahead of time. The price is $43.95 + tax. Return the gown to the Wildcat Store immediately following the ceremony. If you do not return the gown, you will be billed an additional $75.00 + tax.
When should I arrive for the ceremony and where do I need to go?
Students need to arrive at 7 a.m. Check-in will be outside of Laxson Auditorium. There will be signs directing students and their guests to the appropriate areas. More information will be emailed out to graduating seniors regarding check-in procedures.
How early should my guests arrive?
Doors will open at 7 a.m. Guests should be in their seats no later than 7:20 a.m.
Where can my guests park?
During graduation weekend, parking will be free downtown. The closest parking structure is located at 3rd Street and Normal. There is also plenty of street parking available around Laxson Auditorium and an additional parking structure is at the corner of 3rd and Salem Streets.
Who will speak at commencement?
President Paul Zingg, Dean Jennifer Ryder Fox, Dr. Wendell Lundberg, and a student reflections speaker will all be speaking at commencement.
What about photographs?
We have made arrangements with a professional firm, GradImages, to record the moment you are awarded your diploma cover. You have no obligation to purchase anything. You may place orders by:

Graduates can pre-register their own e-mail address and those of friends and family (up to six e-mail addresses total) and GradImages will contact them as soon as their photos are available for online viewing and ordering.
How do I get a commencement program?
The commencement program, with the names of potential graduates and program details, will be distributed to candidates when they check-in on the morning of the ceremony. A day program will be given to all guests who attend the ceremony. Students’ names will be listed in the program if they have applied for graduation prior to February 14, 2014.
When will I get my diploma?
Following a favorable review and final evaluation of your records, your diploma will be mailed to the diploma address on file with the Evaluations Office approximately 12 weeks following the ceremony. If you need to update your address, please do so through your CSU, Chico portal account.
