CSU, Chico Homepage Guidelines
The overriding principle for guiding the development of the CSU, Chico
Homepage (WWW.CSUCHICO.EDU) is that it meet the needs of the
University's several audiences: prospective students and their families,
current students, faculty and staff, alumni, community members interested
in university events, and other interested parties (e.g., companies and
agencies interested in interviewing our graduates or entering into
mutually beneficial partnerships with the University).
The Chico Homepage should:
- be readable with Netscape 3.0 or equivalent Web browser
- fit into a 14-inch monitor and not exceed two screen pages
- be designed to download efficiently to most computers
- provide users with easy access to the primary campus resources:
Admissions, Catalog, Schedule, Library, E-mail, Search, and Help
- provide users with a menu that makes navigation of the entire
university site as efficient as possible by designing a system of
labeling and a pattern of organization that accurately define and
describe the services and facilities offered by the University
- avoid colors that may not be readable or printable in black and
white
- be reviewed monthly and updated as determined by the CSU, Chico
Web Guidelines Committee
In addition, The Web Guidelines Committee will solicit feedback from its
audiences at least once a year to assist it in keeping the homepage as
useful as possible.
