Call for Papers
Contrapposto, A Journal of Undergraduate and Graduate Research in Art History, invites all current students to submit papers for consideration.
Papers may address any topic or period within art history, theory and criticism. All submissions must represent original contributions to existing scholarship.
We encourage all students to have their papers reviewed by a faculty member before submission. Please use the following guidelines for submitting your paper:
An abstract of 250 words or less must accompany all submissions.
Please submit texts via email attachment to
James Hopkins,
formatted in Microsoft Word. Include a separate cover sheet stating the title of your paper, your name and e-mail address. Information identifying the author should NOT appear on the paper itself, to facilitate anonymous peer review.
Papers must conform to the Chicago Manual of Style guidelines. Please reference Sylvan Barnet, A Short Guide to Writing About Art (9th edition,
2008). Papers must include full citations/footnotes, as well as necessary or appropriate illustrations attached as separate, clearly labeled JPG files.
Papers should be between 8 and 25 typed, double- spaced pages in length, 1" left and right margins.
