Counseling & Wellness Center

College can be great, but you can also feel stressed, lonely, or overwhelmed at times. If you are looking for help with a personal problem that is interfering with your academic progress, work life, or general well being, then you’ve come to the right place. Did you know that as a Chico State student you are eligible for free counseling services? We invite you to explore this site to learn more about who we are and the services we can offer you.

Concerned about a student?

Students who are in emotional distress may show warning signs that indicate that they may need professional intervention. The mission of the Campus Assessment and Response Evaluation (CARE) team is to assess a students’ potential risk to themselves or others, and to offer assistance via multiple sources (e.g., Academic Advising, Student Health Services, Student Judicial Affairs, and/or the Counseling & Wellness Center).

If you are concerned about a student’s behavior, we encourage you to make a report to the CARE team by clicking below.
