Kalene "India" Gorospe has been training Capoeira in Chico for four and a half years. She has recently become an advanced student under Mestre Curisco's Grupo Capoeira Malês and co-instructs Capoeira at In Motion Fitness and Studio One. India has been the vice president/treasurer of Chico State Capoeira for two years. She is currently a student at Chico State, where she is finishing a degree in Psychology with plans to become an Art Therapist. Other than Capoeira, she has devoted many years into improving her skills in art (painting, drawing, and sculpture) and soccer.

Robert "Periquito" Washington has been training Capoeira in Chico for five years and is currently an advanced student under Mestre Curisco's Grupo Capoeira Malês (an internationally known Capoeira group based in Seattle, WA). He now instructs Capoeira at In Motion Fitness and Studio One, is starting his third year as the president of Chico State Capoeira, and is the head coordinator for this year's Chico Batizado (Capoeira's belting ceremony). Alongside instructing and training Capoeira, Periquito is busy finishing his degree in Multicultural and Gender Studies with a minor in Philosophy at CSU, Chico while pursuing his other passions in surfing, music, and break dancing.
