About Us

Welcome to Communications Services (CSRV). We are the organization within Information Resources responsible for the design, installation, and maintenance of the campus cabling infrastructure; the data network (switches and routers), and the voice network including the Private Branch Exchange (PBX), telephone sets, and voice mail services. In addition, CSRV is responsible for the University's remote service in Northern California to provide network services, remote access, and telephone services.

Our Departments

Communications Account Services (CASV) creates and manages telecom billing accounts and administering the admin telecom billing Web site. This online tool provides campus departments the ability to review their monthly voice and network charges. CASV also manages the phone lines in the university-owned residence halls, providing local and long distance voice services.

Network Operations (NOP) coordinates network operations, maintenance, design, and development for the campus including the various methods of connecting to the campus network backbone (dial-in modem services, wireless, etc.).

Telecommunications Services (TSRV) staff provides design and implementation of adds, moves, and changes for voice and data communications on campus. TSRV services include telephone and networking as well as maintaining the entire cabling infrastructure on campus. We support systems and equipment for the campus telecommunications system and supported devices, and associated peripheral equipment.
