Credit Limits
Your CASV account has a credit limit of $200. This limit includes your previous balances and your calling charges for the current month. If your account balance reaches 70 percent of your limit, you may be sent a notice informing you that you're approaching your limit. If you exceed your $200 limit, your individual authorization code (IAC) will be suspended until a payment is made that brings you below your limit. If you have questions regarding your credit limit, or if you would like to increase your limit, please contact the CASV office at x6868.
Note: Credit limit subject to change on delinquent accounts.
Returned Checks
If your check is returned from your bank for any reason your account will be charged a $20.00 returned check fee, and the amount of your check will be charged back to your account. You will receive a notice informing you of the returned check amount as well as the $20.00 fee. If payment is not received within seven days, your account may be deactivated, referred to a private credit bureau, and you may be subject to a hold preventing you from receiving transcripts and registering for classes. At this point we will require a verbal request as well as payment in full to reactivate your account. A $5 reactivation fee will apply. Certified funds are required on accounts with two returned checks, and/or on accounts referred to our collection department for a returned check.
Use of Other Services
All charges for telephone services on the university telephone network will be billed by the CASV office. Unauthorized charges billed to the University from use of your local or long-distance services will be re-billed to you or may be divided evenly among all active CASV customers who share the telephone number. In addition, you may be subject to additional charges and penalties.
Incoming collect calls are blocked by the University. However, certain long-distance companies may allow these calls to go through in error. Acceptance of these calls is unauthorized and may result in additional charges and penalties.
Rules and Regulations
You will be billed for a one minute call on unanswered calls if you listen to a ring or busy signal for 30 seconds or more after completion of dialing (approximately five rings). Credit will not be issued for these calls.
If your individual authorization code is lost or stolen, or if for any reason you feel the security of this number has been compromised, immediately contact the CASV office in person. You will be responsible for all calls made prior to your notification.
CASV is a flat rate service program and services will not be prorated on our bills.
Calls Made Without an IAC
If a call is completed without the use of an IAC, charges will be billed to the telephone number or account it originated from.
(Unauthorized services include, but are not limited to, signing up for outside calling plans, calling cards, voice mail services, psychic networks and receiving collect calls)
Use of your CASV services constitutes acceptance of all terms and conditions listed on this Web site.
