Faculty and departments across the CSU are designing, planning and implementing stem cell laboratory modules and courses. The Stem Cell Workshop II will create a forum for (i) sharing information about and lessons learned in pilot course offerings, (ii) training CSU faculty interested in offering stem cell laboratories, and (iii) building collaborations for future funding opportunities.
SPECIFIC AIMS – The 2008 CSUPERB Stem Cell Workshop will provide the participants with:
| (1) | Present technical advances in stem cell research through seminars and discussions; |
| (2) | Provide hands-on laboratory training in basic stem cell culturing techniques; |
| (3) | Offer strategies to implementing stem cell laboratory courses; |
| (4) | Review funding opportunities available to support stem cell laboratory courses. |
