Designers in Progress, or dip as it's commonly referred to, is a club for students interested in graphic design, art, illustration, photography, graphic arts, and related business. We strive to enhance the experience and exposure that design students get from design professionals. Dip brings these professionals to Chico State each semester. Dip has been a formally recognized student organization at Chico State since1979. The Dip officers meet weekly to plan upcoming events and discuss recent events. Members are encouraged to bring ideas and suggestions to involve dip in at officer meetings.

Leading designers, photographers, and illustrators in the Sacramento, San Francisco, San Jose, Palo Alto, Seattle, and other major markets recognize dip. Events and tours provide a good opportunity for members The dip web site has a member/alumni list where our members and alumni can be contacted by e-mail. A growing number of members have on-line portfolios and alumni have links to their businesses.
