January 5th, 2017: Authentication outage

Multiple campus services were inaccessible on the morning of January 5th, due to outages in the campus authentication infrastructure.

Systems fronted by the Central Authentication Service (CAS), including Portal and Blackboard, were effectively inaccessible between 7:30 AM and 9:30 AM this morning.

ESYS and EAPP teams were able to restore normal operation at approximately 9:30 AM, and are investigating the issue.
