February 2, 2017: Blackboard maintenance

Standard maintenance time for Blackboard services is 5:00 AM to 7:30 AM each Thursday morning. Faculty, students, and staff may be unable to access Blackboard during this window.

Self Service Changes 

  • Enable Course and Organization Management via permission change to Course Instructor and Organization Leader Roles 
  • Enable Quick Enroll for CTS and TLP staff via system role 

Integration update

Updating PeopleSoft-Blackboard integration to version 2.2.0

  • Added check-and-exit if Blackboard is not available 
  • Added option to identify faculty by institution role 
  • Includes checks for XList instructor drops
  • Improved comprehensive unit testing
  • Stop watch time format now includes days, hours, minutes, seconds

Zoom Cloud Recording Integration to Kaltura 

Turn on Zoom Cloud to Kaltura Integration 

Integrating ZoomChico State’s new video and web conferencing tool, is now available to all students, faculty, and staff. Zoom allows PowerPoint presentations,lecture capture, live or recorded screen sharing, drawing on a virtual whiteboard, recording meetings or just meet virtually using a web cam. Other features include,

  • Screen sharing
  • Lecture capture and web cam recording 
  • Live meetings with up to 50 people 
  • Video chats/Virtual office hours
  • Text chats with one or all attendees
  • On-screen highlighting and annotation

Enhancements:

Auto delete set at 30 days

Theme update

  • Top Submit Button reestablished
  • Course Menu will allow focussed Subheadings
