It's not the disability that defines you; it's how you deal with the challenges the disability presents you with. We have an obligation to the abilities we DO have, not the disability.”

Campus Accessibility
California State University, Chico has created the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Committee to address campus accessibility issues. The purpose of the Americans with Disabilities Act Committee is to facilitate the goal of physical and programmatic access and equal opportunity to university employment, educational programs, sponsored activities, and events for all persons.
The ADA Committee maintains a Web site for campus accessibility issues.
Handicapped Parking
Vehicles parked in the handicapped parking (HC) spaces on campus must display a current parking decal and a DMV-issued handicapped license or placard. Application forms for DMV placards are available at the University Police Office, or you can download the form at the DMV Web site.
To purchase temporary HC parking, students must provide a physician’s written recommendation for HC parking to the Cashiering Services (KNDL 212). Temporary parking fees are based on weekly rates.
Students are encouraged to report any unique parking problems to their DSS advisor. The University provides accessible facilities to everyone, and university staff are available to discuss unique concerns. Accessible parking spots.
