Nancy Hermanson is one of three advisors at DSS. She works with students to assure equal opportunity and access to the university's facilities and programs. She got into the field of disabilities as a sign language interpreter. She no longer interprets in the classroom, but she is the deaf services coordinator and advisor to deaf and hard-of-hearing students. Throughout the years she has widened her case load to include students who are blind and visually impaired, mobility impaired, and those with functional limitations. She is also an active member of the university's ADA committee.
