& Work/Life Program

Office of Faculty and Staff Assistance and Work/Life program offers several opportunities for those employed at CSU, Chico to receive information and support for work/life issues.

Individual Consultations: Individual Consultations (1-3 sessions) are available for faculty and staff. Services include assessment and referral to community therapists, if necessary (covered under the university health insurance plans) and/or referral to other community resources.

Lunch-Hour Network & Support Groups: Opportunities are provided during the lunch-hour for faculty and staff to join network and support groups that address work/life issues. Group size is limited to allow for discussion among participants.

Education and Prevention Workshops: Faculty and staff are provided the opportunity to learn more about the issues that often are the sources of employee absenteeism and presenteeism. Issues include childcare concerns, teenage drug and alcohol use, caring for the elderly, stress management, and conflict resolution.

Resource Library: Our library is filled with books, pamphlets, videos, and community resources addressing a variety of issues related to work/life and mental health.
