Department of Economics
The Position: The Department of Economics, California State University, Chico, seeks to fill a tenure track position at the Assistant Professor level in International Economics beginning August 2010. Position is contingent on funding.

Minimum Qualifications: A Ph.D. in economics is required. ABD with completion by Fall 2010 start date will be considered. In addition the candidate should provide evidence of the ability to teach and research at the college level.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience or promise in teaching undergraduate students from diverse backgrounds is required. Applicants should have teaching and research interests in International Economics, Economic Development and Macroeconomics.
Responsibilities: This tenure-track position carries responsibilities in the areas of teaching, scholarship and service. The successful applicant will be expected to maintain an active research program and engage in service to the university and the Northern California community. Teaching assignments are based upon the qualifications of the individual and the needs of the department.
Salary: Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.
The Department: The Economics Department at CSU, Chico is a small department with a strong undergraduate program. There is an emphasis on quality teaching and the small size of upper division classes provides individualized instruction for students in the major.
