Gallo, David
Ph.D., Economics, University of Oregon, 1974
M.A., Economics, University of Oregon, 1970
BA, Economics, Pennsylvania State University, 1966

Professor David Gallo studied engineering before he became an economist. In the late 1970s, Professor Gallo waged a war against P. G. & E. that prevented the giant utility from building a coal-fired plant in Butte County. Today he combines his knowledge of production engineering and his love for the environment in two courses he developed, Econ 365 (Economics of Energy and the Environment), and Econ 665 (Economics of Energy). When he is not engaged in teaching or research, Professor Gallo enjoys baseball and backpacking.
