Bob James, Professor of Economics, teaches in the areas of International Trade and Macroeconomics. His current research involves rational expectations and tests of market efficiency. He has published in the areas of consumer theory, labor economics, econometrics and tests of market efficiency. Professor James received an undergraduate degree in Economics from San Diego State University. He earned a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Oregon. Dr. James has taught at The University of Nevada, Reno, Oklahoma State University, Washington State University and Portland State University. He has taught at CSU, Chico since 1981.
Professor James lives with his wife on a river in Butte Creek Canyon and is often visited by his three children who live in the area. His outside interests include racquetball, telemark skiing and building.
