Mission Statement
"To promote knowledge of current local and global economic issues. We strive to encourage economic awareness on campus and in our community by applying our academic learning to issues affecting society, and to encourage students to be more involved with the Economics Department."
Club Information
The Econ Club is an active, officially recognized on-campus student organization that meets weekly during the semester. Besides lively discussions regarding economics, the club plans periodic activities such as:
BBQs, garage/yard sales, student/faculty softball games, and field trips to S. F. Federal Reserve, the CA Energy Conference at CSU, Sacramento, tours of organic farms in area, Oroville Dam Visitor Center, Butte Creek Micro Brewery.
The club has also sponsored speakers from major employers and provided tutors for the economics principles classes.
