L. Knox Marshall was the Smale Award recipient in the 1992/93 academic year. Mr. Marshall is currently working as a consultant to the timber investment division of one of the nation's largest pension funds. His daily work involves travel, field work, and computer analysis of collected data. Although he enjoys his current employment, Mr. Marshall is considering a return to academe to pursue a graduate degree in forest economics.
