Mimi Miller, PhD
Associate Professor of Education
Dr. Mimi Miller teaches and supervises pre-service teachers in the Multiple Subject Credential program. She received her PhD in educational psychology from Stanford University in 1996. Before coming to CSU, Chico, Dr. Miller taught middle school in the California public schools, served as a K-12 teacher educator for Project Read/Text Analysis Project at Stanford, and was senior editor at Interact (a curriculum company).
Dr. Miller's professional interests include literacy instruction, curriculum integration, teacher education reform and authentic assessment. Currently, she is writing a book entitled Embedding Literacy in Content Area Teaching: An Instructional Model Targeting Success for Adolescents due for publication by Allyn & Bacon in 2010.
