Maris Thompson, Ph.D.
Assistant Professor of Education
Dr. Thompson teaches courses in the Single Subject Credential Program.
Her research interests include schooling and immigration, narrative and identity and adolescent literacy.
Before coming to Chico State, Maris taught English as a Second Language at the high school and adult levels in Portland, Oakland and the Galapagos Islands. She has helped design and teach a variety of media literacy programs.
