Associate Dean & Professor of Education
Along with her duties as Associate Dean of the College of Communication & Education, Dr. Payne teaches courses and supervises student teachers in the Single Subject Credential Program.

She taught for 15 years in public high schools in Los Angeles and Oklahoma. Ongoing projects include her work with the Northern California Foreign Language Project and consulting on curriculum development for international educators. Her teaching and research interests include classroom management, curriculum and instruction, and diversity issues.
