The Position: The Electrical and Computer Engineering Department is searching for a tenure-track Assistant Professor to start January or August 2017. California State University, Chico is seeking faculty who are competent in their field, collaborative with colleagues and staff, and committed to student success. Position is contingent on funding.
Minimum Qualifications: The minimum education requirement for appointment to this position is a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related areas. Candidates nearing completion of the doctorate may be considered; however, the doctorate must be complete by the beginning of the starting semester (either January or August 2017).
Preferred Qualifications: Committed to excellence in teaching, scholarship and sponsored research. Successful applicants must be specialized in one or more of the following areas: Computer Architecture, Digital System Design, Programmable Logic, Mixed-Signal System-On-Chip (SoC) Design, Control Systems, Very-Large-Scale Integration (VLSI).
Responsibilities: This tenure-track position carries responsibilities in the areas of teaching, scholarship, and service. Teaching assignments are based upon qualifications of the individual and the needs of the department. The successful candidate should demonstrate a commitment to and/or experience promoting and fostering a learning environment that is supportive of individuals from diverse backgrounds.
Salary: Salary commensurate with education and experience.
