Summer Orientation 2015 a Resounding Success

Orientation was very busy over the summer, hosting 23 sessions between June 9 and July 21.

The program hosted a total of 6,201 participants over 24 days. There were 2,471 freshmen across 17 sessions, 1,279 transfer students in six sessions, and 2,451 parents and guests. This year also included a Spanish orientation session, which hosted 108 students and 183 parents and guests, and a session for Educational Opportunity Program students.

Thanks go out to all of the faculty, staff, and student peer leaders who helped make this year’s program a resounding success. Everyone’s participation makes orientation that much more beneficial to incoming first-time freshmen, transfer students, and their families.
