Style Guides Capital Community College, MLA: A pretty good bare-bones-how-to-format-MLA-style web site. It's not official, but there are NO official MLA style guides on the web. The handbook is officially available for $14.99 at the MLA's official web site. Columbia Guide to On-Line Style: Finally! Citations rules for Web pages, e-mail, list serves, ftp sites, etc. Everything you need to know about citing a web site. Capital Community College, APA: While we don't generally use APA style here in Taylor Hall, if you need to Capital Community College has done it again. Capital's is an easy to use site that's fairly self explanatory. Concordia University Libraries- MLA: A good site for a .pdf version of the MLA style guide. You will need an Adobe Readertm to open it. Click here to download the reader. Purdue-MLA: Admittedly, it's not as easy to use as Capital Community College, but Purdue's site does have the benefit of explanation, and probably better examples. Purdue's OWL also has a number of other writing resources. This link, however, will simply take you to the MLA section of the site. The rest of Purdue's OWL is extremely helpful and worthy of a book mark. lsadc: This site provides a style guide for Linguistics papers from The Journal of the Linguistic Society of America. These sites have compiled a list of links to relevant style guides and information about different writing styles on the internet. Most of the sites listed here have references to all manner of style guides, writing hints, grammar guides, etc.. This list is by no means all inclusive.
Of course, there are numerous books of grammar available on the internet. We've simply listed a couple here for quick access. More can be found using just about any search engine, and quite a few are accessible through the indexes listed above.
