Nathaniel Heggins Bryant

ARTS 257

Image of Nathan Heggins Bryant I received my PhD from the University of Pittsburgh (2014). I have a background in American literature and composition and regularly teach both, usually using those classes to examine social justice issues concerning prison or working-class studies. In addition to reworking parts of my dissertation about prison writing for publication, I’m currently working on a paper examining ecological concerns in Hiyao Miyazaki’s anime Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind and beginning a project tracing out the genealogy of ‘green’ metal music.
