I've taught at CSU, Chico since 1987, served as area coordinator, member of the board of directors and poet-teacher for California Poets in the Schools since 1990. I teach poetry writing at Juvenile Hall and juvenile court schools. I've facilitated workshops and seminars for students and teachers on poetry, writing, collaborative learning, and teaching literature under the auspices of California Poets in the Schools and the Northern California Writing Project. I've directed two writing institutes. My poems have been published in a number of poetry anthologies. I received a lifetime achievement award in literature from the Chico Annie Awards committee.
