Stephen Metzger teaches in the English, American Studies, and Journalism departments. He is on the board of directors of the Blue Room Theatre and is the co-founder and president of ACT (Alliance of Chico-Area Theatres). He plays guitar and piano and is a member of the Celtic Knights of the Sea Men's Choir. He has published many magazine and newspaper articles and six books. He lives in Chico with his wife, Liz, two daughters, Hannah and Gina, and two yellow labs, Nellie and Toby.
