I started my journey toward here back in 2006 when I decided that a liberal arts education was the path I needed to take in life. So I enrolled in College of the Redwoods and two years later walked away with my Associate's Degree. I walked in to Chico State a few months later as a junior transfer student intent on getting a degree in English Education. Little did I know at that time, that my love of the written word and arguing and criticism would not lead me to being a high school teacher. I got my B.A. in English in 2011, my emphasis being in Literature rather than education. Now I'm furiously trying to soak up all the knowledge about American Literature, and women's literature, that I can. ... While I learn how to be a college instructor, of course.
