Literary Arts In
the Community
Readings and presentations
may be held at off-campus venues as well as on consortium MFA campuses.
Readings During
each of the two summer sessions, faculty and students may give readings,
and a guest author will be invited to read from his/her work and conduct
a master class.
Publications At
the Online
Writers Community, students may post work and notices throughout
the academic year. MFA Writers are encouraged to submit work to Consortium
campus literary magazines such as Watershed,
The
Northridge Review, and Tattoo
Highway.
Special chat groups may be established for students
working in a common genre or sharing other particular writerly concerns.
Community outreach
All events held on campus will be free and open to the public, and events
sponsored by the program may be held at community sites such as bookstores
and libraries.
