Sara W. McAulay has taught at CSU,
Hayward since 1984. She is the author of three novels: Chance
(Alfred A. Knopf, 1982), In Search of the Petroglyph (Coward,
McCann & Geohegan, 1978), and Catch Rides (Alfred A. Knopf,
1975). She is the author of numerous short works which have been
published in Iris, The Portsmouth Review, Hot
Flashes, Red Cedar, Real Fiction, Black Warrior
Review, California Quarterly, the Norton Anthology
of Short Fiction, and the American Book Review.
In 1982 McAulay received a Fellowship in Fiction Writing from the New
Jersey State Council on the Arts and in 1985 a Fellowship in Prose Writing
from the National Endowment for the Arts.
