EOP Orientation Programs

Orientation programs are offered to all new EOP students. Invited first-time freshmen participate in the Summer Bridge program and transfer students are encouraged to attend Summer Orientation. Services include academic advising and registration assistance, information on major and career options, presentations on available support services, and an introduction to university life and the Chico environment.

A half-day orientation is offered just prior to the start of the semester to assist both new freshman and transfer students with their transition to Chico State and to answer last-minute questions.

Summer Bridge - The Educational Opportunity Program Summer Bridge program is an intensive, week long summer transition program for invited EOP first-time freshmen. The program is designed to help students acquire the skills and knowledge necessary to build a bridge from high school to a successful college experience.
