Hall of Honor History

The Hall of Honor celebrates California State University, Chico’s exceptional retired faculty and staff. The program was initiated in 2010 by the Emeritus and Retired Faculty Association to recognize the “best of the best” of Chico State’s retired faculty. In 2011, with the support of campus administration, the program was expanded to include retired staff.

Each year, at an annual celebratory luncheon, six new faculty and six new staff are inducted into the Hall of Honor. As of 2012, these former faculty and staff have provided over 500 years of outstanding service and contributions to the university, its students and faculty, the service area, and their professions.

Please join us this year at the Seventh Annual Retired Faculty and Staff Hall of Honor Luncheon on May 12, 2016 in Chico, California. Invitations will be mailed out at the end of March. Tickets are available through the University Box Office.
