Federal Iraq Afghanistan Service Grant (IASG)
The Federal IASG Grant is non-need-based. It is awarded to undergraduate dependents of deceased veterans who died as a result of military service in Iraq or Afghanistan after September 11, 2001. At the time of the veteran's death, the student must have been enrolled at an institution of higher education or have been 23 years of age or younger. The student must be currently enrolled at CSU, Chico and must complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). See How to Apply. All other Title IV student eligibility requirements must be met as well. A student who meets the above eligibility criteria is eligible for either a Pell or an IASG grant in the amount up to $5775 per academic year. A student may not receive both a Pell and an IASG grant. Students may receive the IASG grant from only one school at a time.
