Electronic Deposit of Financial Aid
![]()
Student Financial Services (SFIN) disburses financial aid through Electronic Deposit of Financial Aid (EDFA). EDFA permits delivery of your aid (after deduction of university charges) directly to your checking account, making the funds available to you on the scheduled disbursement date.
Scholarships (university and private), Bureau of Indian Affairs grants, private loans, and funds awarded by another institution are not electronically deposited. See Disbursements "When It Has To Be A Check".
To Receive Your Aid
EDFA Authorization
Only one authorization form is required unless you change your name or
bank account. Immediately notify SFIN of any changes, as incorrect account
information causes a substantial delay in your disbursement. To obtain
an authorization form:
Scholarships (university and private), Bureau of Indian Affairs grants, private loans, and funds awarded by another institution are not electronically deposited. These types of aid will be applied to your student account after you have enrolled in the appropriate number of units and have cleared all holds. Amounts in excess of charges on your account will create a financial credit. In most cases, the credit will automatically be refunded to you by check mailed to your local address on your student record.
