Student Financial Services (SFIN) disburses financial aid through Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT). EFT permits delivery of your aid (if there is a credit balance remaining after university charges are paid )directly to your checking account.
- Have a checking account in your name at almost any bank, savings and loan institution, or credit union, and have preprinted checks available 60 days before your first disbursement.
- Submit a completed EFT request to SFIN no later than 21 days before your disbursement date. Parents receiving PLUS Loans must submit a separate form with their account information.
- Only one authorization form is required unless you change your name or bank account.
- Immediately notify SFIN of any changes, as incorrect account information causes a substantial delay in your disbursement.
